Background

Ryan Koch is a Boston-based recording engineer, producer, and performing artist. His primary project, Before We’re Broke, blends the soulful sounds of the past with a fresh, modern vision. He has also contributed to a range of artist releases, including Kyle Towey’s Another Time, Margery, and The City’s Gotten Colder, as well as Ollie Gullick’s Front Room.

 

Education & Training

Ryan is a student in his final semester at the Berklee College of Music, where he honed his craft through a dual major in Music Production & Engineering and Professional Music, supported by a minor in Acoustics and Electronics. He developed hands-on experience in recording, mixing, and mastering using industry-standard tools, along with a strong foundation in studio technology, signal flow, and sound design.
